I wamt to change my gmail username?

i wanted to ask that after forwarding all data from old account to new one
does all the social sites containing the old username and all the
playstore and other app would automatically replace with the new username
or we would have to login with new username again or else the same old
account would continue just we would be receiving mails on the new one??
