Network vs Storage [duplicate]

Network vs Storage [duplicate]

This question already has an answer here:
What is the difference between SAN, NAS and DAS? 5 answers
I just started learning about the very basics storage networks and I am a
little confused with the terminology. I am learning about servers and
their use in SAN and NAS configurations. My understanding is that these
networks connect different storage arrays(I assume this HDDs in RAID or
something similiar) which store data and different storage protocols such
as iSCSI and SATA can connect and transfer this data. So what exactly is
the server, what is the storage, and what is the network and how these
terms are related to each other?
As far as developing and testing these networks, which pieces are can be
treated separately and thus develop/tested separately?
Thank you
Edit: Why is this marked as duplicate? I searched google and this website,
along with other stackexchange sites to get an explanation and none where
able to. Search Network vs Storage, or terminology, everything is very
specific, I'm asking a pretty general question that anyone with experience
in storage could help me and its marked as duplicate, what a great
community you got here.
